This film tells the story of Pritzker Prize winner Gottfried Böhm, one of the most important German architects, and his family. Gottfried Böhm’s fame is based on the creation of sculptural buildings of concrete, steel and glass. His sons, Stephen, Peter and Paul have also become architects. Despite his advanced age of 94 he still works daily on the development and construction designs of his office. When Gottfried Böhm’s wife Elisabeth, also an architect and the major source of inspiration for all four Böhms, died a few years ago, the family lost its emotional centre.
A fascinating family portrait on the complexity and inseparability of life, love, faith, and architecture.
