The book »Beyond the Face« tells the stories of 39 climbers who have written the history of competition climbing over the past 30 years. Besides in-depth profiles, this book contains over 70 pages of contemporary photographs illustrating the beauty of competition climbing. The beautiful book provides an insight into the world of climbing by portraying the faces behind it – which finally makes the fascination of climbing tangible. As a creative concept, Corporate Design Studio Schrott decided to let slant elements structure the content. Typographic details in combination with artistic photography finally created a distinctive design concept.
