Yes it’s still just a ‘concept’, but various sources confirm that this 523bhp concept comes very close to the production model i4 due in 2021. Boring though it’s to draw comparisons with Tesla on every new electric car, this one matters. Because like the Tesla 3, the BMW i4 is a compact saloon with an amazing acceleration and range of 373 miles – suitable for everyday use. The most exciting thing is the flawless, futuristic design though. Perhaps the German car manufacturers can catch up after all. With such cars they should certainly succeed.
