“Seconds GMT” designed and produced by Stockholm based manufacturer Nocs Atelier. GMT is short for Green mean Time, named after the Greenwich Observatory in England, which is the Zero point on the 24-hour scale of international timezones.
Nocs Atelier has taken a poetic approach to the design process of its new watch “Seconds GMT”. Following up on the success of the debut watch “Seconds” they wanted to add more function whilst keeping the unique minimalistic aesthetics of it´s predecessor. It’s been a long journey arriving to the final product, with many unforeseen twist and turns along the way.
2000 hours were spent to refine the design, paying attention to every surface, radius and finishing. True to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s principle “Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away”.
