“The French Dispatch” brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French town of Ennui-sur-Blasé. Cult director Wes Anderson brings their reportages to life in his wonderful art film. A homage to journalism, his film is a veritable firework display of detail-rich sets, absurd characters and crazy connections. The French Dispatch stars Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. Due to the pandemic, the release date was postponed again and again. Now it is finally clear that the film will be released on October 22, 2021.
