Amazon Studios has released the trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s “The Neon Demon” and announced that the film will have its world premiere in the Official Competition of the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
Elle Fanning plays Jesse, an aspiring model in Los Angeles trying to stand out in a big, scary world of crazy lights and beautiful people. Her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has. The American-Danish horror thriller deals with the familiar ingénue on a quest for fame and perfection trope, captured through Refn’s violent and stylish lens.
The Neon Demon has a young female driven cast featuring Elle Fannning, Abbey Lee, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves, Bella Heathcote, Desmond Harrington and Karl Glusman.
The movie opens in theaters in June, 2016.
