Berlin based MOSS Objects presents Dune, a modular pendant luminaire by Daniel Becker. Built from individually formed aluminium shades, the system links between four and twenty units across five configurations – Curve, Cluster, Spiral, Vertical Line, and Vertical Cluster – allowing a single visual language to scale from a kitchen island to a four-storey lobby. Each shade is shaped from aluminium sheet, with a forming process that yields a dynamically curved geometry that catches light along its surface.

The collection takes its cue from dune landscapes, where volume is defined by continuous transition rather than sharp edges. Translated into modular aluminium segments connected at their outermost points, the result is a continuous line of light that expands and contracts with the architecture. Five standard finishes are available, handmade in Germany: Silver Anodised, Silver Polished, Gold Tone, Copper Tone, and Dark Bronze Tone. The silver options read as pure aluminium and reinforce the collection’s architectural character; the three tones introduce warmer, applied finishes for residential and hospitality contexts. Custom finishes are available on request. Dune received the iF Design Award 2025.
