The 48th edition of Art Basel opened to VIP guests yesterday, June 13, and will open to the public on Thursday, June 15. The fair brings together 291 galleries from 35 countries to the Swiss city. As ever, many galleries have made a concerted effort to bring their best to Basel — from standout solo presentations by emerging artists to historic showings of rare work that hasn’t been seen in decades.
