POKIT: Rethinking the Suit

POKIT is a UK design studio that creates very sophisticated clothing, bag and accessory designs, using traditional techniques and share an aura of avant-garde. Founded in London in 1999 by designers Bayode Oduwole; who holds a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, and Claire Pringle; shares a background in Japanese studies and later working at Phillips’ international auction house in the Picture department. Their diverse experiences have shaped POKIT as a label well in our progressive thinking and lateral approach to design, best described as that rare entity the Japanese call a ‘character brand’.

Bayode and Claire are respected for their creative direction, design and eccentric personal style. They  have  consulted and contributed for various other brands, inlcuding Levis Jeans. However, their priority has always been to make sure the integrity of the product comes first down to the individual customer level and they approach it with a unique strategy. POKIT will  take your measurements in a sample suit made out of white cotton (that comes in all sizes!) and though this it will give you a real impression on  how the suit will fit.

Until December 10th, the cult-brand will be in Zurich at their Pop-up Store with a beautiful selection of British and Irish fabrics, including tweed, flannel, cashmere, linen and cotton.
